Cycling Spots around Changping/Yanquing/Huairou Districts

Beijing

The mountains to the north of Beijing represent the closest cycling region to the city centre. Centrally located and less populated, this region is the starting point for the most popular climbs around Beijing. There are also lots of choices for accommodation.

For cyclists, this area has the most development in terms of infrastructure and roads leading to great riding opportunities. Being the start of the larger mountain range, the gradients are a little less steep.

It is also a popular region for tourism in general with most of the accessible parts of the Great Wall being located in the area. There are not many bike shops to the north of Beijing, but there are plenty of guest house coffee shops.
