About the Route

We set out from the Mesochori village and almost immediately we stumble upon the first switchbacks of our route heading to Achentrias village. The view from the top of the climb is mesmerizing as, we gaze upon the valley below. The following highlight of the ride is the picturesque village of Ethia located at the center “Asterousia” mountain range where we start the switchback downhill reaching the village of “Rotasi”.

After giving our legs a break at the downhill it’s time to climb again. This climb starts from the “Pirgos” village with direction to “Treis ekklisies” where a beautiful seaview of the “Libiko Pelegos” is unveiled. A coffee break by the sea is highly recommended there to recharge your batteries for the upcoming way back heading to mainland again.

The last switchback climb is the one that leads to the “Kapetaniana” village which is renovated by the locals combining the modern and old culture of the island. Now it’s time to downhill back from the same route we climbed before and have a relaxed ride back to where the ride started.
